14th Annual Beer Barons' World of Beer Festival℠

By Beer Nuts, For Beer Nuts℠

Because a great beer festival should support great beer!

Our festival is about sharing our love of great beer with others, not about raising money for the cause of the week or lining our own pockets. With this in mind, we don't make as much money to donate to charities as most festivals would - we put it into the beer you drink at the festival.

The money we do raise goes to beer related charities

Scholarship Funds

The proceeds from this festival will go to two scholarship funds for the Siebel Institute of Technology

Midwest Professional Brewers Scholarship Fund

To put professional brewers from the midwest through the Siebel Institute Consice Course on Brewing Technology program (or any other brewing related course of their choice). The idea is they further their career and we all get better beer here in the Midwest!

Interested? Here's the full scoop and application page which will open in a new tab.

2012 - Chad Sheridan (Lakefront Brewing Co - Milwaukee, WI)

2013 - Allyson Rolph (Thirsty Pagan - Superior, WI)

2014 - Justin Bohn (South Shore Brewing - Ashland, WI)

2015 - The recipient will be announced at the festival.

Beer Barons' Homebrewer Scholarship Fund

The Beer Barons have been running their own brewing school for several years (Brew-U). We use some of the remaining proceeds from this fund to subsidize a class where we hire outside experts in brewing and nationally recognized homebrewers to run an advanced homebrewing class so that we can allow more people to partictipate vs just one attending Seibel. This scholarship increases the local knowledge in our homebrew community. Just as importantly, many of the regions professional brewers started out as homebrewers so this will also help contrinbute to more and better beer for all!

You want to help the cause? Attend our festival and promote it to anybody who will listen!

Donations to the Pro-Brewer fund will be accepted but are not tax deductable

Past Charities

Prior to 2011 most of the funds raised by this festival went to the Museum of Beer and Brewing proposed for the former Pabst Brewery. Many members of the Beer Barons of Milwaukee have been members and even served on the board of this group. Godspeed in their endevours to make this happen.
